preSPOKE

 

Considering how much we love handbuilt bikes here at NYC Velo, we were pleased to get a chance to talk to Sacha White of Vanilla Bicycles recently about his upcoming show at the Museum of Art and Design, BESPOKE: The Handbuilt Bicycle.

One thing led to another, and we started thinking about ways of doing something in conjunction with the exhibit.  Six frame builders are participating in the show, and some of our customers own bikes built by them. What if we hosted an event at the shop highlighting those bikes?  Hmmm…. Sacha was game – in addition, he said he would love to get the word out about his sister brand, Speedvagen.

So we are pleased to announce the latest party at the shop: preSPOKE.

It’s happening next Wednesday, right after the opening of the MAD show. Sacha will be there, and in addition to some great looking handbuilt bikes, we’ll also be screening the Richard Sachs documentary DVD, Imperfection is Perfection.

Food, drink, hand built bikes. A perfect way to kick off the season!
