The 16 inch wheel size allows for quick handling on the city streets, as well as the best-in-class dimensions when folded. Many luggage options and other accessories are also available.

The H designation refers to the H-style handlebars, Brompton's most upright handlebar option. For the highest riding position, these bars require the least amount of leaning forward to use.

The 6 indicates the 6-speed drivetrain, with a 3-speed internally geared rear hub and a 2-speed rear derailleur.

The L indicates the front and rear mudguards, which protect riders from water, mud, and other road debris. The rear mudguard also incorporates a small wheel which increases stability of the bike when folded.

The Superlight name indicates that the frame is built with a mix of steel main frame and titanium rear triangle and fork, creating Brompton’s lightest (and strongest) bikes.
